Hi,
i'm planning a trip to the australian eastcoast, starting from sydney and working my way towards brisbane and see where it's taking me from there - i'll start early february and will stay till the end of march.
due to the new luggage fees on the cheap airlines i'm extremely limited regarding my equipment.
i'll have to get along with two kites and one board, so what sizes would be the right ones to bring?
i'm 85kg's and like riding powered up, the board will be something in the 135x40cm range, maybe i'll buy a surfboard when i'm down there.
will i be fine with 12 and 8 ?
additional question: will i need to bring a wetsuit or will i be fine in shorts and rashguard?
thanks in advance

Murdoc,
I am in Sydney and predominantly ride my 12 and 16.
I weigh 75 kgs and ride a 129x39
The east coast generally does not get as strong and consistent seabreeze as in Western Australia.
I would suggest you do bring the above sizes if you have the larger kite and a spring suit for warmth.
Shorts and a rash vest will do but it really depends on your tolerance.
Personally I prefer to be warmer than cold.
Hope this helps

I lived on the Gold Coast , which is just south of Brisbane, in the days of C-kites, and predominantly used a 13 and a 17.

Bring your umbrella...the biggest size you have.
I was at the East Coast last jan-feb-march and had nothing but BAD BAD BAD weather..
No wind in:
- Sydney
- Goldcoast
- Sunshine(
) Coast
Trying W.A. next year, hope for better wind, weather and waves...
But have fun there..maybe you have more luck..

Im in sydney and ride a 11m hybrid. I recon a 12 and an 8 would be sweet specially if you plan on getting a cheap surfboard while here.
