Experienced wave rider in side shore waves most sessions. 85kg on a strapped 6'2" std epoxy surfboard ie full rocker, soft rails the same as surfers use, only I put straps on it.
For 5 years up until 5months ago used C kites 5,7,9,13.
Now I use Delta C 's ,,,,,a 6m and a 9m
Why ? cos they turn tighter, are more responsive and faster than any C kite I've ever used and have a heap more range.
I found it easy coming from C kites to these cos they have a very similar feel only much faster.
I'm not a fan of most SLE's for my style of wave riding, cos most of the time I turn the kite aggressively and low in the window and I want a kite that will not hesitate low in the window, or go slow in the turn then surge and pull across the window.
I don't think Pro's are going to ride delta c kites much cos they are used often as entry level kites at a price point and that's not going to be good for business.
I think you will find that Pro's will ride what they are given from the company they ride for.
If they had a choice they would all like different gear, and most would stick with what they got used to.
Park and ride wave riding works on a lot of kites, but the conditions that it works in are very narrow in terms off wind angle and wave type.
A good wave kite has to be able to ride all conditions, especially more onshore which requires fast responsive kites that can turn as fast as you want to turn the board, especially in a down wind bottom turn.
Hope this all helps
