A new kite by Slingshot the RPM, a replacement for the TD

No set rules, definition or condition. Progression and evolution!!

This kite is ideal for any beginner to intermediate rider [novice] who is looking for targeted performance and ease of use at a great value!!

The Slingshot RPM has been developed from the DNA of the award winning Turbo kite. The RPM marries all of the targeted performance benefits - ease of use, re-launch ability and in flight stability, all with great value. The RPM addresses two of the most common hurdles when learning - a kite that is easy to progress and develop skills with and quality well designed equipment.

The RPM has Slingshot bomber construction. If it is combined with the SX freeride board, it will make getting into first gear easier than ever!!

Features:

* Progressive ‘Delta’ shaped canopy: This provides great low end and makes the kite super stable in higher winds. The Delta canopy ensures easy re-launch [even for the novice rider], inflight stability, massive vertical boost, unsurpassed wind range & depower and superb up-wind ability
* One pump: Slingshot’s leading industry standard in single point inflation
* Compact bridle: provides in flight stability and eliminates the risk of tangle
* Tailpipe bridle belts: prevents lines from snagging
* Mark clothing reinforced trailing edge: reduces flutter and increases durability
* Ergonomic nipple placement: ensures less overall drag
* Slingshot legendary construction: bomber quality
* Lifetime rider hotline membership

The Slingshot RPM comes complete with:

* RPM Kite
* Redline 4 line control bar
* Freeride kite back pack
* XL Jenna J double pump
* Repair kit
* RPM quick start guide

Sounds interesting. Doesnt look like a delta tho.

My bad sorry.

Someone has just copied the T3 user manual and replaced 'T3' with 'RPM'

Getting ahead of myself. Turns out it was one of 3 Proto Kites seen at Tarifa

Were gonna keep a lid on it till the Kite Expo in La Ventana, which will be held on the 20-25th of this month.

I will be there with the rest of the Slingshot OG crew and we will be happy to give you a demo when you stop by. Trust me will will not be hard to come up too so don't be afraid. Look for us with name tags and SS matching hat and T. There will be 2 full quivers plus all the other goodies we have for 2009...

Any info regarding the kite will be on lock down till the demo. Sorry. Hopefully you can make it. If you can't you will be able to find info at www.slingshotsports.com and I will also be filling in with my own videos and photos that can help answer any questions that might come up via forums.

I have seen that kite for months around Tarifa .... never bothered to make a pic of it though . someone told me it was a Ruben Pro Model ... and I thought ; Ruben riding a Fuel with more de-power ? never .

Did´nt take note about the performance ... I see so many protos flying around , you just ignore them .... some of them still on early development and fly like shit .... so who cares :baby:

Saludos

Franz

PS. Next I see it , I will take a closer look for you guys ............

I live down in the Florida Keys and some friends of mine were lucky enough to get together with the slingshot team and try out the new Rpm. From what I understand with this kite you get Ckite performance with SLE depower. This is something everyone shoots for and this kite is supposably the closest it gets. Check out the article in the Kiteboarder Magazine by Sean Reyngoudt for a full description.

It's been done, it's called the North Vegas. No bridles or pulleys either.

sorry for my ignorance, but is there some kind of awards for kites like this? i mean it is probably good at something but i've never heard of Oskite's or Golden Tents or Olive Foils or smth like that.
