I'm not sure that Mr. Frederick, aka The Kite Doctor, could repair those...... but he's always open to a free personal consultation. :remybussi:

It wuz probably one of the Cab guys taking out their revenge on a Naish kite.... local rivalry, y'know...

I'm amazed that they were able to get it off the back-side of Flat Island.. That's major exposed super-craggy lava rock that will cut you to ribbons in 5 seconds which is constantly being bashed by the deep water waves of the mighty Pacific..... dangerous place to be trying to clean up the mess. Must've been a really calm day.

Major kudos for their commitment in cleaning up the kite flotsam.

@Haynman
hey i didn't mean that it was intentional put back there, it was big swell hitting the backside of the island and there was no way to retrieve it until a month later when it was a dead flat.
im not sure of the exact circumstances on how it ended up there, but shit happens. i've lost a couple boards and a kite there myself, (its a mean little break that you can ride in to the back but super sketchy) but not to that extent, or in as big of surf.

In windmotions we have to be reborn as a phoenix kite much stronger .....and ready to rip and go to search and catch the perfect wave.....the kite is now a REAL WAVE HUNTER

Good to see it has been repaired - as the front tube was okay so it should be a relatively easy job for a good repair artist :thumb:

Kindly, Peter Frank
