Yea Sandy Hook NJ and thereabouts
I was there on tue March 31, ( I saw the grey headed seal!),
and a few succesful ocean-side rides
in the few previous weeks
Last year I rode every month thru the winter
with a 5mil wetsuit and 7mil bootsies and 3mil glovies
This year it was some Sandy Hook local homies
of mine that did so, in similar attire
Take a look at the current issue of
The Kiteboarder
they are in there at Sandy Hook
out past a snow and ice-bound beach

Been kiting all winter on Cape Cod. Yesterday was fun as hell and apparently i was the only kiter riding in Buzzards Bay. Still need gloves, but I was able to use my 2mm neo socks instead of my thick winter boots.
I don't mind the winter. The cold water is made up for by the deserted beaches and having the water to yourself.
