I received CHRONO last week.
and I rode the kite of 15m2 with under-just -over wind conditions.

the handling feel is very smooth, not heavy but not light, very good bar feel.

the kite move really smooth ! like 12 or 13m2 kites.
kite generate good power and changed wind into smooth power.

when under condition.
I can move kite smoothly and generalte good power to ride.

when just condition.
I felt free and FUN of kiteboarding, speed, jump, turn, etc, perfect in all aspects !

when over condition.
trim the kite with chiken loop, you will not feel fear of too much kite power.
the kite still generate good power with smooth , discipline feeling.

very good kite.
I will be happy with this kite !
Thank you for the share, I appreciate these pictures!

A couple more photo's for you, I did some emergency-release tests because I never carry a camera with me when I'm riding. The actual tests in the water have given me great confidence at a time I started falling off my board regularly again. (Strapless riding)

The Chrono always lands like this if the lines are are tight and you can easily get to the bar.

I don't know if anybody else have noticed the resemblance... But the Chrono looks a lot like another great kite, for another company that was in deep s@#t for the last year or so....

It's a great design after all, and is worth going after....

I just love this kite - my new light wind kite in 12m2, for freestyle and race :thumb:

Huge power and apparent wind increases the grunt even further - amazing !

So easy to fly, and very predictable - good feedback - so landings are a joy with this kite - so much easier, besides the fact you get immense jumping height and power.

The Furia2 still turns the fastest, no doubt - but for pleasant raw power, nothing comes close to the Chrono 8)

Took a couple of pictures when out some weeks ago, with the 12m2 :

Have also flown the 10m2 for freestyle - really cool kiteloops as they are well powered, and you have so much height in jumps that you can loop all the way around easily, to catch you :D

And the new one pump works soooo fast and easy that you get addicted right away :thumb:

Kindly, Peter Frank

Thanks for the lovely photos Peter, your description of the Chrono performance is perfect.

Hmm, temptation..... do you think the 12m Chrono would be a good swap for my 13m Furia 1? I love the speed of the Furia but the low end is not the best.
Also I do like to boost high but not get dropped, What's the glide like? if it's any good,it might be worth upgrading just to keep alive the last sheds of cartilage in my knees!

I tried out an 8m the other day in strong winds, it does boost high and there is mega float, I was up there for ages, thought I was going to end up back on dry land.
Definitely does like the apparent wind, once you get some speed going it pulls even more.
The 8m looked massive, way larger than my brothers 9m kite, easily looked like a 10m, maybe a reason its so powerful.

yes, I thought all the kites 12, 10 and 8 were all very powerful for their size, regarding low-end, the Chrono produces masses of power when it's traveling at speed. You need to be an active kite-flyer to enjoy the Chrono, it's not a kite for someone who wants to be dragged around.

I agree with Peter, the Chrono is a great kite! The first time I tried my 10m I felt that Takoon had really got the Chrono right. Great power/lift/hangtime, nice even bar pressure, very even power stroke and super stable in the air. I liked the Furia 2 and the Nova 3, but the Chrono is another level in my opinion....

Hi guys,

I am planinng to buy a Chrono 12m, but I have a huge problem :( with the colours.... I saw that, there are new colours in the Takoon selection, 2 green combinations. Have anyone seen in these colour?
Or have someone pictures about the kite in green?
Ty.
