Speed 3 kontra Speed 2

Postby frihan » Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:12 pm

In this Forum and in Flyzone.com I have been reading about the new Speed 3. I wonder when flysurfer.de will inform more spesific data, prices and deliverytime about this fantastic "flying machine" in their web pages ?? I am flying Speed 2, 6 and 12 m2 today, and I am very satisfied with these Kites, and if the Speed 3 is really going to be better I cannot wait to hear.
Sail fast - live slow - oldtimer.

I read the release date is somewhere in September. Same prices a Speed2.

But only in size 12,15 and 19. Nothing smaller :nono:

Hi

The AR of the SPEED3 will be a bit higher than SPEED2. Sizes are 12.0, 15.0 and 19.0 for our new lightwind killer.

Thanks, Armin

If you come to Mallorca you can test the speed3. We have great conditions to test the lightwind performance of your kite. Watch here:

Is that a slow motion camera?

Why do you need a speed 3?
My speed 2 6m2 has a wind range of 11 to 40 knots (flysurfer claims) :jump:

Hi, Just to clear up a few things: I am not kiting on water, I only do Snowkiting. The Speed 3 claims to be better than the 2 concerning A; crossing up against the wind and B: extremely good in low wind ( 2 m/s) which is very importent in competitions when no one else menage to sail. personally I like the 12 m2 best when nearly no wind, and if the Speed 3 is better than Speed 2 I believe it must be a very attractive kite. The 6 m2 is more for higher wind of course. Anyway I am also sailing the Frenzy FX 9 m2 which is a very easy kite to sail, but not so good as the Speed when it comes to low wind ans crossing up against the wind.

That looks such a bad spot to kitesurf, with all thoughs beach users and kites falling from sky.

Not a place i would go to.

Good performance of kite though.

Air temperature 31 and Water temperature 27 and wind 90% of the time - in which place do you live? Of course there are better places but with the right kite it is a lot of fun. Here you cam ride 300 days a year. If you go up wind the wind is much stronger so you can jump really high. I am curios if the Speed3 will jump even better than the Speed2. On gusty days it is so much fun - in the air for a few seconds coming down just about to land and than you go up again - like flying or paragliding. I never had this with any tubekite I used. More airtime - is that even possibel? Can t wait to get the first Speed3 to try it out.
