I am leary of going with the standard surfboard construction for my style of riding (durability wise). The boards really need to take a beating. I have gone through 3 boards in 9 years. It would be dissapointing to get any less use than that.

Sounds /looks a bit too much like a mutant or TT for me.

I have read lots on this board. It is one board that I am considering.

I have heard tons of good things on this board too. Too bad it is not made anymore. I heard rumors that he might produce them again. Unfortunately, I can't wait for that.
Anyone have any info on the 09 Airush ChopTop?
Thanks guys.

Spleene Zone is a great board.
I've been riding mine hard for 3 full years, probably close to 500 sessions on it. No signs of fatigue or breaking down.
The board is light, goes upwind well, downwind effortlessly, eats up chop, straps are great, a blast to jump with it either frontside or backside. If I could only keep one board this would be it no question.
Mine is a 2007 model, 159cm tri-fin. The new ones are 174cm and quad fin with more options for stance. If you want one let me know (PM).

i second the Underground freewave 5.8 , a joy to ride in waves and chop , a must try if you can get your hands on one.

Sorry, never seen the Airush .
My advise: get the UG FreeWave. I am 99.9% sure, you'll love it.

Anyone riding the 5'4" Freewave? I have beed thinking about getting one to replace my twin tip in flat water. I already have a 6'2" UG surfboard for waves.

my new super freak amundson 5'2/18.5,quad. 10 mph and away I go. There is a guy around here with the UG freewave and he claims it is not the best for light wind. I was looking into that board before but the lightwind factor turned me away from it. I searched long and hard and luckily saw a local with this board and was sold. He was upwind of everyone and with a smaller kite then all of us, pretty amazing.
