You'd be surprised by the amount of info the "search" button could provide... :jump:

In Varadero the main spot is at the Marina... but islands are better...

im confused now, windfinder (varadero) says an average of 10knots for august only?
so should we take or should we not take?
decisions, decisions

the windguru forecast reckons 14mph max for the next couple of days only? and that only lasts between 2 and 5pm or so...

Ok guys, Varadero is the windiest place in Cuba, there is no doubt about it and every local kitesurfer knows that.

August is a bad month from the wind perspective, normally the first 2 weeks are flat (no wind) then it can get really good as soon is getting close to September because of tropicals storms. the best place for wind forecast i have found is windguru, check Varadero and go to the end of the page (not the first forecast table) that's the international airport.

It seems is going to be very windy the next days, winguru shows up to 27 knots for the weekend.
according to the wind direction you should contact some locals to learn where to ride with easterly winds, SE and S, it seems that will be the direction. PM me and i will pass some info to you.

ps Alexeyga the boys say hi to you man.

please don't ride with offshore winds in the BEACH!!!

cheers

Charlito,
Thanks... I'm hoping to hit Varadero sometime in the winter. If you'll get a chance, tell Obel that I wasn't able to get the kite he wanted... too expensive... But i keep shopping around...

Cheers!
