Are all of the top riders paid to use those kites in the competitions?

If so, then the competitions only prove who is the best judged winners, of those who are probably paid the most by those kite companies.

Number 1 ranked Hadlow rides for Flexifoil, so is everyone running out to buy Flexifoil kites?

Just a guess, but I bet that Flexifoil sells more foil kites from their 8 foil model lineup than they do from their 3 model lineup of LEI's, for all types of kiting.

But since they have the leader in Hadlow, maybe they should change their name from Flexifoil to Flexitube?

In this tolerant society of fellow kitesurfers there should surely be enough room for all types of styles and equipment choices. I used to ride foils for years but eventually made the switch.
I never minded being the odd one out on our local beach or anywhere else for that matter.
However, now that my choice of equipment conforms to general standard I feel somewhat invisible, as if I am just another guy following the herd.
Luckily I found this new sport where my true personality and foilrider spirit can carry on regardless of what other people think.
So to all of those who are prepared to swim against the stream and don't care what others think, join me in this fabolous new sport and lets make it our own.

What happend...and why?
I turned to kitesurfing to get freedom, to relax and have fun...or be cool
Where did this small group of almost religious "fundamentalists" come from that threaten my sport and freedom of choice? Why is it that "AlKaida-like" groups pop up and distort the harmony with their KKK style hit and run threads...
Is it the infiouritycomplex of needing an aid (the pump beeing the viagra of kiting I dare to say) to get a good performing, solid and satisfying kite while others use selfinflating hightech foils that almost do it by themselfs?
Or is it the fact that after some years they do not want to accept the fact that kites follow the same aerodynamic rules as all flying stuff like paraglieders, hanggliders, planes and whatnot...
Is it a religious problem? Or an addiction, almost a fever that needs gentle but firm help and rehab...
Mabey we should start a trust to help these poor...let me call them "fellow" kiters and bring them back on the road of freedom, relaxed kiting and mabey...just mabey the try a little foil on one of those 3bft days where they are once again stuck on solid ground instead of walking the surf. Then they might see the light and dont come up with jackass stuff because they are boared and frustrated

I found my own also similar, but not depending on the snow & season
and I use it for none windy frustrated days boosting 10 feet with a modified supercharged pneumatic drive cylinder

Although XCSB looks hot, it's still more entertaining to watch foil riders and I don't think it will overtake it in popularity.

Well, XCSB still has a long way to go but as the equipment will now doubt get better in future, the sport will be elevated onto a much higher level.
In this case all credit must go to the pioneers who could see the potential all along.
