2011 Kites to be in assembly line from now on?

Postby AlexandreBorges » Sun Apr 04, 2010 5:29 pm

I believe 2011 kites are up to marketing any time soon, since some Cabrinha 2010 kites, I saw, were marked as produced in May 2009. Therefore I wonder somebody could post some previews on 2011 kites?

Is there some common track to benchmark on following year kites?

Come on... 2010 barely started and the speculation about the same 2010 kites, renamed for 2011 and some makeup added has allready began!
Let us enjoy the current models!

Could'nt have said it better myself Aeberl :thumb:

Lets enjoy the current models, and forget about the stupid naming gimmick.

One who is out riding :P , on whatever gear, is much better off than one not out, just waiting...:(

I agree, the kite companies that ,make and sell kites like that are playing marketing tricks on people. Sometimes I wonder "how stupid can people be to fall for it?"

The companies with good business ethics won't sell 2011 kites until Nov or Dec 2010 at earliest, and some good companies will not have 2011 kites until early 2011

Those who rush the future do not take the time to enjoy the present.

I have no problem having companies launching 2011 stuff in mid 2010, cuz it`s a great opportunity to get 2010 kites with some % off.

Exactly what I meant....some people fall for anything. If the kite was produced and sold primarily in 2010 I'd argue that it's a 2010, not a 2011. Do people really believe that they are getting a good deal on an already overpriced kite just because it is being sold at a discount? I hate to sound sexist, but this is like the dumb blonde justifying her "shop till you drop" spending spree to her husband because all the shops had "BIG DISCOUNTS" posted in their storefronts..."gee honey, why are you so upset, I saved so much money, everything was 30% off!"

AlexandreBorges:

for Cabrinha, this all started back in 2005 when they introduce the revolutionary XB1..July of 2005 and called it a 2006. Ever since, the next version of the Crossbow has been released in limited quantity in July. The 2010 Nomad was also released in July of 2009. So, I would expect to see the next version (2011) XB and Nomad released in July of this year. The Switchblade usually follows about 2 months later, and the Convert around Nov/Dec.
