Here is my wife Adriana in the current issue of The Kiteboarder (center spread) killing it. This photo is from the 2009/2010 winter at Mokuleia Beach Park on the North Shore of Oahu. She is quickly becoming one of the best women wave kiters in the world. She has only been kiting for 2 yrs and in the waves since Feb. 2009.
Thanks S. Whitesell for the sick photo and thanks to her sponsor F-One kites.

I didn't realise, hooked in strapped in was "killing it"... There's lots of girls around who can ride unstrapped unhooked. Don't get me wrong, it's great that your wife is getting amongst it and it's great that more women are getting involved in the sport... but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Assmaster,
The sport has so many different ways to ride and whoever is having the most fun is the best in the water. I think she is killing it and would love to see your idea of killing it, so if you have some magazine center spreads of yourself (or the other girls you speak of) please post them so we can all have a better idea of what you think killing it is.
I don't think we are getting ahead of ourselves at all and hopefully one day folks like yourself will stop comparing hooked vs. unhooked, strapped vs. strapless because we all have our own riding style and preference for the given conditions and no one style is better than the other....unless of course you are just a bitter person all together and have no better way to spend your time then knocking others.

Riding unhooked unstrapped is irrelevant. It's what you do when you're on the wave. Go master another ass, dick.

Riding unhooked or unstrapped in itself is nothing special ( you should try it sometimes). Unfortunately there are too many riders out there "mowing the lawn" who think they are good or cool just because they are strapless or/and unhooked. They are usually bragging all the time about how much strapless or unhooked they are (who cares I do both) and are often half as aggresive or creative than strapped in guys.
Ridding strapless and unhooked is great, I love it and do it when ever the conditions are right for it, but doing it just for the sake of it and criticizing others in the process, narrow minded.
About the picture, nice, but killing it? Anyone who is seriously into wave riding can tell that she lost that wave after landing the aerial and landed behind it. Should'nt happen on such a steep section...
