I would say Dimitri Maramenides can still throw down some impressive old school tricks.

Yep Dimitri Maramenides has an awesome oldschool style.

Also i enjoyed a video of Tom Hebert showing some oldschool moves alot.

And i do think i saw a flysurfer movie with a guy named toby in it who did some fun things too. ^^

Does Robbie Naish fit in the "Old School" category? He certainly is a "Big Air" guy.

Miller Morais from Brasil, he is from Ilha Bela, São Paulo. He is a board-off enthusiast. And Sostenes, from the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil. If you intend to organize a board-off event in Brasil, why don't you contact them???

Yes, great to get brasilian riders as well!
Any links to vids or websites?

Robby rides great, but he is not that good in boardoffs.

Dimitri is awesome, but he will be at AWSI fair in Hood River, same dates

I dont really understand this...

Board offs are just one part of "Old School" IMO, or sometimes not, as for some it was "never" a thing that was present, but it is being pushed as being "the thing" in this thread :(

Old School, for me, means to boost really high, and being hooked in, and powerful and stylish.
Or doing awesome looking and stylish moves, even when low.

No matter WHAT moves :naughty:

Board offs or not, does not matter, and not important in my eyes :-?

As long as it is not unhooked low and technical "dangle" tricks
I know it sounds wrong for some - but these tricks belong more to cableparks and wakeboarding IMO, and not a "natural" thing connected with kitesurfing  (but a specific part of it, yes :) )

Of course - for the top competitions, the technical level is what it is all about, no doubt.

But oldschool to me, means power and style, and the "Wooooooo" factor, and not too much dangle of any kind :thumb:

:D Peter
