Hi!
Just intending changing my stuff from Cabrinha Revolver to something newer.
I am suffering from kiter elbow so I need a light bar pressure kite to ride. Just enjoyng riding on waves hooked and unhooked.
What new model kite do you think I should buy?
I apreciate:
1 - Surf with weak traction.
2 - Some grunt on turns to keep speed to the lip.
3 - Some hability to jump over the waves.
4 - Nice price. Sometimes I could have to release the kite to save my life ; ).
Thanks in advance
Joao

Globe Trix. '11s out mid-novemeber. Maybe able to pick up a 2010 at a good price. My '08 Globe kites are better than anything else I've ridden and they just get better and better. Really good brand. Adjustable bar pressure on these kites.

I had kiters/tennis elbow for about 12 months, I actually found the cure (for me) here on KF, if you do a search you will find heaps of info.... the simple stretches cured mine. I also had to change kites as my 2009 SB,s were killing my elbow, i found Naish kites to be easy on the bar.
Good luck with it.

ive had tennis elbow for almost 1 year too, got it with a suppossed light bar pressure kite (ss rev). Patience, multiple stretchs a day, and physiotherapy was the solution, specially stretching. Wear a protective brace for it during your sessions, and get a light bar pressure kite. Since then i have (naish) torches, and are excellent for it but i believe cult or helix (or 2011 bolt) are even lighter and more appropiate for wave riding. Naish is light on bar pressure (but you feel where the kite is at least on the torch), so its a good option.
Ive tried Ozone C4 and is also very light on bar, and seems to be a great kite, could be a good option too. Im not a seller so no brand affiliation. Try these 2 and maybe other brands that some people tell you but for sure this two are light which is what you are looking for. Cabrinha kites are usually one of the heaviest in bar pressure, you will find a big difference.
More grunt in the turn you will have to go with a more "C" type of kite, torch for example but then 5th line in the surf is not such a good idea sometimes
good luck

Rode a 2010 Cult last week in 22 gusting to 32 mph wind, bar pressure is non existed to very light. Didn't try it on waves yet so can't comment on it. Ozone and Sling Shot kites are also light on the bar.

Globe Kites GK for me too, 60 years old with the same issues. Got the GK TRIX 9, 12 ,15 and they have adjustable bar pressure, turn fast, drift well on downwinders in waves, relaunch is quick and easy, and most of all a really tough construction, upwind performance unmatched from my prior two well known brands I had.
