Absolutely shocking this season so far. Could mean a late start and a late finish if you want to look on the positive side of things though. I'm off on 1st Jan from the UK where we've had nothing for a whole month now so fingers crossed. My bags are already packed.

I've got a few mates out there, one since August. Some surfing to be had early in the morning over the other side. Talking to an instructor earlier saying some of them have already run out of money due to no lessons. If you're on kiteboarder.co.uk then I think watersair may be over there already if you need some info.

... hey, a bunch of us just got back from Nam and we had 10 out of 12 days, but we did travel a little to get it. Find a guy called Mr. Ho, he's the local kite repair dude, and he'll take you around to a place called Cemetary's where we found the wind consistantly better than Mui Ne beach (plus some waves)!
Find Anthony of Vietnam Kitesurfing Tours to take you up to Phan Rang, where the wind is usually higher again with big waves on the outside or miles of flat water on the inside, dude, highly recommended!!!!!
cheers,
Robbie

Windfinder showing weak sauce this week, but maybe picking up again by the end. I'm heading down there in a week hoping for some good conditions.
Robbie, you got any other recommended beaches near Mui Ne? I will be down there with a motorbike, so I can move around a few km...

Going to Mui Ne my self on the 5th of Jan. What I heard from people who have been there, the spots by the Mui Ne fishing villiage is better then the bay. And Phan Rang epic when the wind kicks in, the rules seems to be that the more north east you go the better then wind is..
Here is a little map of the kitespots in Mui Ne
Good winds!!

... the map show the places well and you can get there easy on the motor bike! When the wind comes up Cemetary's can produce some big waves. had a ball, love it but Phan Rang is something special, worth the effort!

Would be nice to have a thread with maps of kitesurfing spots like this and some kind of small summary of the location.
I would definitely like to go to Vietnam next year so this is very helpful, thanks!
