I am told you can't surf a wave with a twin tip! What do you think?

What a load of crap from some non-experienced or bullshitters who knows nothing....

Just go smack the lip with your twin tip - NO PROBLEM at all, I can assure you 100% :thumb:

The worst case I've ever heard, was some relatively new, who said: Where can I get a waveboard, so I can ride waves (for the first time...)
Nothing could be more wrong than thinking so....
Simply because of listening to some who has a narrowminded way of thinking, and no knowledge....

Happy New Year !

Kindly, Peter Frank

You almost certainly cannot surf a wave on a TT. It would have to be quite large and steep and you would have to be extremely good to keep your momentum up before the board stalls and sinks.

Can you ride a TT on a wave and do carving turns and slashes and power slides and boosts and have huge amounts of fun? Absolutely!!!!

if you want to look like kelly slater in a harness and a bar in ypur hand - twin tip won`t work too good. but i`m lately getting the feeling that on a directional surf board one has a pretty limited approach to waves. especially if you do not have clean waves with good crosshore winds.

Just get a larger twin tip with some rocker and larger fins and its possible. I ride TJ Sloughs when its huge and drop ins with non-powered glides and carves are completely possible.
