It will be a mistake if the companies stamp those bigger kites as race kites!
I think the kites can be good for race, and good for old school, which would be the same group of people...guys racing and liking floaty jumps with softer landings.
I tried the Dyno a little, but the wind was so gusty, that I cannot compare to my Rebel. But it jumps and hangs and turns good for a 16. Need to have it in good conditions to give it a real verdict.
But I also saw a proto of an Airush in 17 sqm, which is a race kite, and it jumped high and long as well.
So beware of false marketing...you might miss out good kites if they are labeled as race kites...
The Ozone edge was labeled as a race kite last year and it's sales were horrible becuase of it. I don't under stand why labeling a kite with the race logo scares people away, how bad can a kite made to go super fast and upwind super hard, be anything but high proformance fun??
My new fuses say nothing about race on them but stompped all my competators in every event I entered, perhaps that is the best way..
I am calling North style the act of making new race kites and Boards without telling anyone, and keeping mid year outdated kite shapes and board desighns oin the website so know one has any idea of the thunder north is bringing, then showing up at the PKRA with a box full off toys and whooping up on the race course!!!
Nice I can not wait to get my dynos!! Unlabeled race kite el grande. not the big c-kite listed on the website!
