Does Morocco have a Cable Park in the Surf?

Postby TopHat » Fri Apr 22, 2011 4:59 am

Just saw a Clip of the Morocco Contest. :o
I'm pretty sure the Wave contestants were connected to a Cable Park Machine. :naughty:
Did not see one turn of the kite as they were riding. :nono:
This new style of professional wave riding really has me confused. :brainshit:

tophat, I would like to know how you think a kite surf comp should be done and judged.
Many discussion going on currently within the scene about it, specially due to two tours fighting for being best for waves out there.

You are a kite pioneer and pushing the wave style, so it will be interesting to know.

Would you also participate in such comps?

Aloha Toby,
Mahalo for asking my opinion on the wave side of the sport. :D

Sorry, about the the Two Tours not getting along. :argue:
Wish I could Help. :remybussi: It is unfortunate that so few value my opinions.
However, I have faith that the whole wave comp thing will work it self out with Time. :thumb:

I was actually just posting about how cool a Cable Park could be in the Surf. :jump:
Why paddle out when you can cable out. :cool2:
Just remember to use all that extra energy to surf that board on the wave . :naughty:

Most of the vid is from when the wind was 10mph and kites simply would not turn which is why you dont see much kite movement.
check the water not a ripple in sight!
some of the better bits of vid with turns from the front are when we were on 7s for the singles which is where they should of finished it instead of running in too light a conditions and letting the lightweights move up through the doubles! :nono:

Let us know, will be interesting.
And the more opinions, the better!
