Have got my hands on a Laluz 132, wow it's so light, will get out on it soon I hope. Hope it won't break! All the reports say they are light but strong :cool2:

No doubt that the LaLuz is way better in almost every aspect.
If i were you i would also try the Rayo. it is even softer than the LaLuz and will only do good for your knees.

I hear what you are saying. Does anyone know if the Laluz is a softer ride than the misfit, i think it must be but want to know out of interest, its lighter, its more flexable, must be softer?

All of what you said about the la-luz is right, and if you are looking for great pads and straps, they have them too.
if plug n play is what you want then you might also consider the Rayo, since you are not looking for hardcore freestyle, this may also be a good choice.
good luck deciding, it was hard for me but i went for the la-luz in the end.

The Rayo sounds OK but the Graphic’s, the La-luz I can live with, perhaps I could just duck tape my knees

have not tried the misfit but have been riding both the laluz and rayo for the last couple months.

both boards are excellent! light high quality construction and great performance.

I think I like the laluz a little more then the rayo because I can pop higher with the laluz. The rayo is noticeably smoother though. can't go wrong with either board. this is coming from somebody who normally has chronic sore knees from kiting.

I have nothing against slingshot. I've heard great things about the misfit but I like how the laluz is from the ground up a timeless lightweight design and simple. The misfit just seems like a legacy board tweaked to have some new features. IMHO slingshot has messed up a lot of their twin tip boards in the last couple years with feature creep. Xenon's slogan is less is more. I like that. I don't need channels or bolt down pads or slots instead of inserts or flipped tips to cut down on spray. all that stuff compromises something else. I want a light weight board that somehow has a good blend of pop and soft landings. that's it :) The laluz does that :)

btw I do own a 2011 slingshot surfboard, but only because a friend sold it to me for a price I couldn't refuse. He sold it though because it was a warranty replacement for the board he broke and he felt like he was going to break the replacement too.

The LaLuz is a lot softer ride than the misfit.
the Rayo is even a bit softer ride than the LaLuz is.

BTW i ride a FONE Trax.

Guess lot´s of feed-back on La Luz but not for the Rayo

I ride the Rayo in very gusty wave spots where other people are mostly in their surf boards. Lot´s of confort.

On flat water I miss a bit pop and explosivness; La Luz may suit better this conditions.

Use to say the Rayo is a bit like a Mercedes Class E, a good blend btw confort and performance.

Guess btw the 2 it´s a lot about your riding conditions and what you want; I´m just the average rider looking to be on the water whenever possible but w/ a non "kitesurf job" on the outside...
