if these are your choices the La-Luz no doubt.
unless you are super technical rider looking for a stiff board.

I just need to get out on the Laluz, just waiting for my knee to rest up a bit, no I'm not technical in any way, I got the misfit on a whim, great board in the right hands, I just couldn't do it justice.

I'll be placing an order for a Laluz 135 at the end of this month. Such an awesome board!

Xenon is taking the world by storm.

Well for me it is deffo the LaLuz, believe everything you read about this board! First try out yesterday at Camber. As soon as I got ripped from the water I felt at home on the board. I'd had the Misfit months and never felt at one with it, just me not the board before anyone else says it.

The LaLuz felt so soft, loads of chop and it just eat it up, landings were also soft, I still have a bad knee but it I'd used the Misfit I wouldn't have been able to walk for a day or so.

It went up wind so easy, very impressed with it, better than I had hoped for, thanks guys for making such a nice uncomplicated, did I mention lite board :thumb:

Everyone mentions how lightweight the Laluz is. When you are in the air it's immediately obvious this is one featherweight board. So I was curious what the weight difference is between the two boards. Slingshot did some innovative things this year to knock a half pound off the Misfit but look what we found. We also threw in the Acid since that was on hand. Boards measured complete:

2011 Laluz 132 = 7 lbs

2011 Misfit 132 = 8 lbs, 8 oz.

2011 F-One Acid 132 = 8 lbs, 12 oz.

Didn't the USA go metric in the 70"s? Anyway, the Laluz is 18% lighter than the Misfit and 20% lighter than the Acid! Yes, weight is only one characteristic, other factors may be more important to other riders so test ride if you can. Sometimes lightweight boards tend to get knocked around in the chop but we found that to NOT be the case with the Laluz. The 2010 Laluz was a sub 7 pound setup so if weight is a big factor, traveling etc., you can still find a few 2010 out there.
