Cool vid. I love it down there. I don't go until October every year. I wish I could stay the entire month of October (and more) but just can't...

I like the helmet cam footage of riding the slicks. :thumb:

I have much more footage from the slicks ... But a bit less glorious: got stuck in there and had to walk my way out because I could not made it out on the board :) Fun times!

Dude that's a F'in nightmare......

I almost got caught in Planet O' the Apes way back in there. The wind gagged and I couldn't keep upwind. Thankfully I realized the wind was shitting and started heading back. Not soon enough though as I had to commando through the vegetation about 20 yards to get out. The slick was about chin deep.

One friend of ours didn't fair so lucky. He had to slog through a few hundred yards. :duh:
(bring booties!)

Railing those slicks at 30+ mph is so much fun though....

JF, that is a really nice edit. Thanks for sharing it.

What kind of camera did you use for the shots from shore? Crispness and color is really nice.

I used a Panasonic TM700... It records in 1080p at 60fps. Very nice little camera. The key for shots from shore is a tripod and a fluid head for smoother pan. I also played around with a "igus slider" attached to the tripod for the dolly shots. Cant wait for next year trip ...
