hi there,
I´m into buying an edge in above mentioned sizes, but not sure which model to take..
could smd. tell me the main differences of models 2009, 2010, 2011
regarding
bar pressure
low end
lift
turning speed
price wise i´m into buying a 2009 of course but i already hear often esp. 2009 has stupid high end but lacks in lower winds.
for 2010 the turning speed is very slow but the low end very good?!?
i come from flysurfers which have the best lift from my experience - 12m speed3 in 30 knots at 80kgs is nuts - every jump 10m+.. but for that wind i want a tube due to the tangling thing and ´cause i´m most of the time alone starting and landing...

I have the 2010 11m edge and the 2009 before that. haven't flown the 2011.
You definatly want the 2010 the 09 like you described. crap low end.
Turning speed will be way faster than your speed. as for height of jumps. you will not be dissapointed with the edge. it boosts huge.

I havent tried past Edge's but i can tell You about 2011... it is worth to spend a few bow more and get the latest kites from Ozone, The kite is so good that Ozone is planning to keep the same kite for 2012.
i used to Race with my Edges, but when is blow out i love to get my TT and have my jumping sesion !!! over power on the 11m or the 9m Stock lines !!!
The kite always get you so high that you must loop it at least once before You land

are there some vids exept from tama at moorea that show the jumping abilities? ive never seen the edge in natural on the water or is it quite comparable regards lift to the sp3?
sp3 in high winds i have also to loop at least one or two times because of the high ar..

i think you fly any 12m kite in 30 knots at 80kg you will go stupid high.
Your essentially flying way over powered. I'm also 80kg and don't fly my 11 edge over 25 knots. I can hold it to 30 knots and boost big. but i have way more fun properly powered on on my 10m c4 in those winds.

I ride the 09 Edge 11 and it is like the Speed 3 12 in that for low end performance it thrives on board speed and apparent wind. It also gets floaty jumps and goes up wind very well. I don't like riding the Speed 3 12 beyond 25 knots even though some people hold it past 30 but the Edge seems to have much smoother limitless top end in fact it seems to be even better and more stable on the top end like a German sedan on the autobahn. I like the Edge 09 bar better than the 2010 because of the adjustable back lines on the fly (genious idea) I use this bar on several kites. The Edge is not a "wakestyle" kite so don't expect massive pop or grunt power by pulling the bar.

I have the 2010 Edge in 9 & 11m sizes. I also have the Speed 3 Deluxe in 12, 15, and 21. If you like the boot of the 12m Speed 3, you will love the Edge. It is a boosting machine with plenty of hang-time.

Hello friends, if anyone niterested I'm selling my Edge 15. Kite is in perfect conditions, used about 15-20 times. Still crispy and not even the smaller damage. Blue color.. If you are into racing, fast kites and light wind this is the kite to have! Going to HK in 5 days so I can ship to anywhere!

the only thing that keeps me waiting to buy the 2010 11m is the turning speed thing.. is it comparable to psycho4 10m?
