That's really funny! Thanks for posting and congratulations for the amusing (and I guess self-comforting) subtle self-sarcastic attitude!! And I thought losing a board was a disaster..!

Keep your kite higher and don't move it when you are doing the back roll - I had a hard time with this myself when I first learned because I was keeping the kite too forward. Bring the kite down only once you have spotted your landing or even after you land.
If you lose your leg you should body drag back to it, not use a leash. Using a leash on your leg can be very dangerous. Ask anyone

Use your board to do the backroll. With kite fairly high and stable put both hands near the center of the bar so you don't steer unintentionally. Then squat down a bit and in same motion carve hard upwind, don't move the kite. When you can't carve any further look over your shoulder to your landing point and give a gentle pop to the board: it will keep carving off the water and push you in the back roll. Before you know it you will spin 360 degrees and land. Can be done 2 inches off the water, the kite will hold you in the air because you are carving against it. It can be a very gentle and fun move. Then go higher if you want.

I Landed my first double a few weeks ago, i rarely screw up a
single now.
I CAN use advice on:
"How and When" to through a kite loop
in into that double back roll. I'd Really like the kite to loop the same direction as my
body rotation, so i don't twist the lines so much.
ANY ADVISE on that one ? Please !!

Good one !! HA !!!
SO if it's dangerous to use a leash on "ONE" leg then :
It's Double Dangerous to use a leash on "TWO" ??

The backroll/kiteloop is one I want to learn now too. A video of just that was posted Sept. 5.
You said you were learning backrolls last winter. In just a shorty?! Don't your legs get cold?

Correction: leg gets cold
That's really fantastic. Good for you. The backroll/kiteloop is a bit out of my wheelhouse at the moment.

Back rolls are dead easy I reckon. The not-using-the-kite version is anyway ... I started by using the lift of the kite during a transition to try to spin my board around flat on the water, like a tack ... I did that twice then gave it a shot. Landed and rode off from my first one so that was encouraging
The great thing about back rolls without the kite is the only punishment is a splash down. Front rolls, on the other hand, I find tougher and they tend to hurt ...

OK, I 'll give you a tip then to always land them! Ride medium speed, kite between 1 and 2 (or 10 and 11), send the kite back and immediately try to bring together your front knee, your front hand holding the front end of the bar (this will start redirecting your kite as you take off) and your front ear! It is the meeting of these three body parts that will rotate you in the air while the kite is doing the right thing!! (Ned's theory of threesome)
