A few years ago I made contact with Franz about getting a board made but the asking price was crazy...

You shoulda asked again..he's quite personable.
Price might be crazy, but his boards are too.

North X-Ride should be a good option...
The ideal is to find a bigger board that suits fine to surf and light wind days.... i think that is a post here in forum talking about that.
Hi,
The Venom 2 is 142 with tips and 135 without tips. 2 boards in one. Not a bad idea

Just picked up one today and is a modern version of the famous Underground Wavetray!
With a nice double concave and some cool style of inverted rails..

Should be able to try it tomorrow...
Bye Jankie
Let me know how it ride.
I have a Cabrinha Custom which has a huge rocker and if it was longer and the tips rounded and fatter rails would be spot (Basically a different board...that why i'm here), as it is its not bad but if put pressure to far fowrd it will dig in

Wainman Joke 138, such a smooth board in the waves, prob down to the wierd convex bottom shape.

Don't know about Cab, but:
The Joke has similitudes with both the RSC Supreme III & the RDD Poison LTD 2010.
Closer to the Supreme when your surfin down the waves (almost feels like an O.R. Mako) smooth and easy...Nose never sink. Turns like it would have no fins under it.
Pop is like the Poison. You can reach the heigh you like pretty easily.
Landing is better then anything else, from my point of vue.
I'm buying a Joke this week: best value for lower cost then any of those boards mentionned above.
But honnestly, money is my last argue because ALL those boards are seriously impressive.

Tried the board 149 in flat water and is very nice. Allot of flex and the rails keep spray away!
The boys at the local school like it for teaching and they are going to use them also for beginner as the flap avoid the nose of the board to sink.
The flaps are 5 cm each so go bigger then you would regularly go.
Is the cheaper board in the Cabrinha line up at only 549 US$ complete with straps, find etc..
