Any good kiteboarding spots around Dallas Tx in Oct/Nov?
If so, what wind direction is best for the given spot.
Thanks,
David

We have quite a few spots to go here in Big -D
It all depends on your location. If in the city of Dallas, the best is Lake Ray Hubbard Off of interstate 30 towards Rockwall. This lake is kiteable in every direction and is the most centrally located.
There are many others but this is the best if you are coming to Dallas City.
If you need more info let me know i will check back on this post.

Definitely!
I'm not sure yet, but I have a good chance of being sent to Arlington to take a four week Electronics Technician class at Siemens.
I'm an avid kiteboarder, who's kiting season only lasts about 2 1/2 months a year. I'd definitely bring my stuff with me, if there was a good chance to use it!
I've always admired that gigantic lake from the air, in and out of Dallas through the years. I bet that's the lake you're talkin' about.
More info please!!!

Schaweeeet!
Does the lake water stain your kites down there around Dallas?
Thanks guys!
Hey Toby. Just thought I'd let you know I admire your style. I'm developing something similar, but with a little added poetic-ish body movement.
Very challenging! Thanks for inspiring me to push myself a little. Kiteboarding is so much more now, thanks to what I've seen you do.
Let the "nay" sayers say dance is gay. I say, c'mon guys, lets please the onlookers. Beach goers love this stuff !! So fun!

Sounds like the best place for you to go to would be ,Benbrook Lake in Fort Worth, unfortunately it's too low right now. If we dont get some rain soon all of our spots are gonna dry up . There is a big problem with exposed hazards now , you have to know where you kite at . In eleven years of kiting I have never seen the lakes so low.
Get info before you get in..

Hi David,
thx for that!
One reason I am pushing it, is to inspire people like you...get new ideas and to keep pushing. The sport is missing something, I am trying to fill that gap.
And I couldn't care less if someone doesn't like my style...I am enjoying it and so do many people who watch me.
Cheers!

Does Lake Ray Hubbard get thermals when it's as hot as now? I'm in Dallas until the end of the week, what's the best place to check local conditions? Any local kite forum/group?
