For those of you who remember the times of the first dozen or so ladies in the world to trailblaze kiteboarding... and for those of who don't, please lend a hand if you can.

Sheldon Pletovich is one amazing woman and needs our support immediately. She's now back in Seattle again at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for treatment.

Over the last 9 years, she’s been doing some serious kung-fu on a long term bout with Leukemia, all the while winning international kiting competitions, completing her Ph.D in wildlife conservation and winning ‘Best Paper’ at the Hawaii Conservation Conference, after which she said she promptly went to the hospital and received cells so she wouldn’t pass out.

I know times are tight, but any gesture helps.

I still have a kite i bought from Sheldon~ via Julie Prochaska...(she donated it to Sheldon when her stuff was stolen)...i think mama mouse + family live in it now.. but it is a good karma kite~ I'll never part with it, maybe cause it is full of good energy... now it's my turn to give back.... thanks for the post

We went for a 6 mile hike yesterday just outside of Seattle. Guess who instigated that?
