Hi all.
I have not been kiting for long but am progressing nicely. have been riding a naish momentum for the couple of months i have been kiting. am starting to do some basic jumps and would really like to progress my freestyle.
i mainly ride in choppy conditions and had the chance to ride the f--one trax the other day. what a huge difference in the chop. it was so smooth so am now looking at getting one. as i would like to improve my freestyle i have been looking at the acid as well. unfortunately i have not had the chance to ride the acid.
was wondering if anyone has had the chance to ride both the boards and could compare them for me. mainly in how they handle the chop and how much difference there is in freestyle application between the two.
I am 85 kg and as i said mainly ride in choppy conditions.
any information will be much appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Russ

I did ride all the three boards you mentioned.
If you want a real "chopp killer" then you have to take the Trax.
If you want a board for freestyle, more like the Momentum, you have to take the Acid.
Both the Acid and Momentum are pretty nervous in chop, but in flat they are the bomb.
When I read your post, I think you would have the best rides on the trax.
I am riding different types of Trax, for several years now, and I love them.
Succes

can only comment on last years acid, but in the flat the thing is intense pops like a dream!! I much prefer it over my underground crypt... in the chop, its what you'd expect of any freestyle board. Definately be hitting up the new model soon

i got a trax 5 and have heard that the trax 6 was a bit slower due to more rocker. how does the trax 7 compare to the older ones?
regards

i didnt ride the new Acid but I still own both Trax 6 and 7.
The 7 is much stiffer than the 6, most like a cross between the old Acid and the old Trax. For sure it is much stiffer and has lot less rocker than the 06. Also it got a little wider.
It is not forgiving on the heavy chop as the 2011 Trax but it got a lot more pop.
The pads are awesome but I dont know what is in F-One mind when they are shipping them with all these small straps. If you have a big foot and wear booties it is pain to get your feet in.
I hope someone from F-One R&D reads this. Besides that the board is awesome and it is my all time favorite.
