Air tank for filling bladder

I was considering using either a small air tank (5 to 8 gallon) or emptying a fire extinguisher and putting compressed air http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY7ukffxK8o in for filling my kite. Both tanks will take approximately 125 PSI.

Maybe someone knows the volume requirements for a bladder.

I have a Naish 16 meter (not sure which model) and a Naish 12 meter Cult

Anyone have any thoughts on this idea(s)

But yes, you can use an air tank.
For most people it's not worth the trouble though....

With that size fire extinguisher I would think you would only be able to fill it up the kite twice at the most.

Twice is fine. Mine is a 30 lb extinguisher.

I use a 10 gallon air tank with a 50' hose w/ ball valves on end of hose and at the tank. I fill it from my home compressor, leave tank in the back of my truck and just pull the hose out. I can fill my 14M epic 1 pump once, actually just about exactly the right amount of air, in about 4 seconds. All my other kites are not one pump so if I use one of those I just use the tank to fill the leading edge 17M and 15 M. For small kites I just pump. The only way I can see you pumping multiple big kites would be a really big 125psi tank or a scuba tank at 3000psi and I can imagin it would be easy to over inflate (blow up) your kite. For one kite, it is really fast and easy w/10 gal tank.

friend of mine uses air tank for inflating kites, he is in scuba diving. one tank (apr. 7 ltr) fills up two zephyr kites, i guess. but it is not lite thing to carry.

What PSI ?

My home compressor should be about 125 psi, but it is older and the gauges are not reliable. I am sure I get 100psi but maybe 120. Some home compressors will go to 175. The air tank I use is rated to 150. I am sure you won't fill a big kite with a 5 gallon tank at 125 psi.
