Nubie Alert: Avoid F1 boards and Mystic Harnesses

Postby HAMLINDP » Fri Dec 02, 2011 7:35 pm

These products, although their function is good, breakdown WAY too early.

You'd be better off going with a different manufacturer.

Many people have complained about their products.

I have first hand experience with the Mystic product, but have heard of others with the same gripe, locally and abroad.

I've heard that the F1 boards delaminate WAY too early.

Just sayin' do your research before buying.

My mystic gear has been great for 2 years now - harness, wetsuit and gloves with regular use :thumb:

I absolutely agree! I've owned Mystic, uh, everything and they have a serious problem of just not lasting. Now I ride a North harness and Hyperflex wetsuits.

I have also been hosed F-One... board is beginning to delaminate after only 4 sessions! As of now they will not honor my warranty claim although I've owned the board for less than a month!

See my thread and photos... "F-One Board delamination..."

I'm tired of getting hosed by kite companies! What recourse is there for the consumer??????

That's a pretty strong statement.

I've had two Dakine harnesses wear out, and I'm on my 5th year of hard use on my Mystic Warrior 2. Just my experience, but I use it hard in both fresh and salt water.

Dude, are you for real ?

I have a mystic harness for almost 4 years now and it looks like new.
Also the Mystic 5/3mm DL wetsuite (all windbluck) looks great after almost 4 years.
I also have a Fone Trax from 2010 that took some abuse. still looks good.

You can't take a single case and bash like you are.
Who are you affiliated with ?

Although some say they have improved lately, Mystic still deserve some bashing for years of selling over prized bad quality products.

Haha Fone boards are as tough as they come I ride a Trax and cannot destroy it 2 full years. I broke many others boards, the pads and straps are the best too, calling BS on your claim. :nono:

Hi mate,

I can't comment on the FOne products but I will not purchase anything Mystic related anymore.
