WaterMan Fitness (Intro)

Postby WaterManFitness » Sun Dec 04, 2011 7:18 am

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick introduction; my name is Matt and I've been kiting since 2001, windsurfing since 1987. I currently live in Okinawa, Japan working as a Pararescueman. I run my little "sanity project" WaterMan Fitness to share my passion for health, happiness, and the ocean. I hope you'll find some workouts to carry over into whatever discipline you crush! Feel free to hit me up on here or the FaceBook page with anything at all. I plan to be more involved in these forums, but I figured I'd start with an intro.

Swing by http://www.facebook.com/watermanfitness and "like" if you're diggin it.
-or-

Thanks,

Matt

If any of you own an Indo Board, give this a shot!

Awesome workout videos! I've just started getting back into heavy training and will definately be using some of your ideas! You've got the right fitness ideas for water people! I used to train with way too many heavy weights which is not good for your body, and you end up spending your time out on the water in pain! For me now its all about cardio conditioning, true strength, athletic power and flexibility!
Loving your kettle ball routines...I need to get me a few sets of those!

Thanks for posting :thumb:

Jdizzle-

Thanks for checking the page out! I dig working out with kettlebells... I plan on putting together a "Kettlebells for Kiteboarders" video in the very near future.

I really like your video's too. I's it possible that you could put together a 3day a week plan to cover a whole body workout? I like your exercises, but I don't know how to put it all together and what to do on what days!

WildDuke- I'd be happy to... are you looking for a full body workout with a kiteboarding focus? If so, I'll get on it!

Just tried to do one legged squats whilst reaching for my toe, I fell flat on my ass  Respect! I cannot believe how tough that is!

I love the "pistol" or one-legged squat. It's an AWESOME way to train strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. I'll be more than happy to bust out a progression video if anyone is interested in getting better at them. It's a great way to warm up the legs before hitting a kite sess.
