I'm not too emotional about it myself, but if someone takes another's money for a product he knows he won't deliver that is not right. I look forward to seeing how this unfolds.

We no longer offer subscriptions to Kiteboarding." Anyone know what is going on? Not going to be happy if they are closing shop, just renewed my subscription last month. :angryfire:
If you paid with a credit card you can just dispute the charge. You will be able to get your money back.

Just a little follow up. Here is what I received from customer support...

"Your email has reached the print subscription department. All of the subscriptions to Kiteboarding are going to be transferred to Transworld Surf for print customers. Please contact whomever you purchased the iPad app from for the refund, either www.zinio.com or itunes."

So if you have a print subscription you will now be getting Transworld Surf, not a terrible substitute but for some may not be what they want. Either way I had my credit card company deal with it and they have already posted a credit to my account.

They are for sure closing their doors on that mag. Reason why? Nobody buys anything at retail in this industry so it wasn't profitable, for advertisers within the mag or Bonnier.

Mags go belly up often. simple explanation, overhead/ revenue, sales. many will offer a comparative publication finishing one's subscription . in this case the alternate is transworld surf. im (was) a subscriber . not much a fan of surf mag's but im sympathetic of publication dynamics and content with something rather than nothing.
sucks its a kite mag belly up though!

Yeah, this sucks. That was a good mag. Seemed to have better content (less rehashed marketing material) than some of the other mags.

Also annoyed that I just sent them a check in December, and they didn't have any problem cashing it. They obviously knew at that point that the magazine was not going to be printed but that didn't stop them from taking my dough!

maybe some forward looking group of authors could e x p a n d interest by expanding content by in-cluding snow and land, kiting or throttling things up on travel interests,

I guess there will be no refunds just other magazine options

I sent them a simple email and got a refund. Thanks for this link!

Good customer service. No complaints. Just wish the magazine made enough $ for Bonnier that it was still in print.
