A student asked me "When you jump, have you ever not come back down?"
My answer: Yes, just once and I was 2 weeks late for work when the wind finally died.

I was explaining the concept of the wind window and she asked
"What happens if the wind window closes?" "You mean if the wind stops?" "No, I mean if you make it close or if you open it really big."
Ummmm.....
And

While watching a kiter self rescue and come back to shore with a deflated kite, I was asked, "Why doesn't he just blow it back up instead of swimming all the way to shore?"

Or the classic one, "Kiteboarding looks like so much fun, I dont want to take lessons. Can I just try your kite?"
Uhhh...Would you go skydiving without a lesson?" Actually I would love to say "Sure!" one time and see how far they get. LOL

Reminder of amended rules: questions brought to the forum from the outside world will be admitted, provided of course they remain kite related.
It is OK for one candidate to appear several times on the list, but not on the podium.
Further candidates must be aware of one implicit rule: entries must respect basic grammatical rules such as the question mark at the end of a question.[/quote]

i had a woman look out on the lake at my friend riding and she asks me "so where does the guy go? inside it?"

confusing it with parasailing, she thought a person was supposed to be riding inside the kite.

I don't get it. So you pose questions on KF to be on this list. I am just going to assume we have a very different sense of humour.

Simple really

Most people think better when it quiet around them

When riding a Hydrofoil you are above the water...no sound...silence..no water splashing around

To " hear yourself think " is an expression that is used at times

So compared to riding conventional boards that makes lots of water noise when riding....
....would you say that riding "quiet" help the rider think better ?

I did pose the question as a thread on KF to get on Alexrider's podium of silly questions
Unfortunately it did not go well with Toby and he took it out
