I'm having some neck/upper back pains(arthritis) and need to start riding with one hand only so that my neck doesn't have to turn too much(open stance). This seems to be helping, but my RRD Vision, which I love, has a little too much bar pressure and I can't really steer for too long before my hand gets tired.
I'm 65, 145lbs., free ride style, and jump a little. Play in the swells but no waves. I don't do toeside.
I've heard that the North Rebel; Ozone Edge ; Ocean Rodeo Rise ; and Naish Park might be good.
I'd appreciate any ideas on this..........Thanks, Ron

maybe an easy adjustable stopper will also help?
then it is easier to fly the kite with one hand, and less tiring for it.

2011 park had the lightest bar pressure I had ever seen on a kite. I thought it was too light and I guess a lot of people did because the 2012 park has more.
Switch Element would be good too. higher bar pressure then the 2011 Park (low/medium) bar pressure. not too much bar throw and a stopper that works. I can easily ride mine with 1 hand. even works well 1 handed unhooked.

Ben Wilson Noise. Lighter bar pressure with really easy one-hand steering. Very nice kite

liquid force envy would be good as well, practically no bar pressure and the kite is very nimble so it's easy to steer with one hand
i don't really want to suggest bindings if you're that limited in movement, but you can't open your stance as much because your feet are locked in. maybe something like the new slingshot joint might be good to try?

Not sure if this would help Ron, but the Dynabar makes it really easy to open up, especially toeside. I've been using them since their first generation and they definetly have refined it over the last few years.

I just bought and tried the 5.1 Freeride Dynabar yesterday. Not sure yet.
Maybe for toeside it will help, but it's a little weird for opening up heel-side.....
Thanks tho, Iblocalkiter...

i'm riding one handed half the time on all of my kites.
my c4 would be the easiest of the bunch to one hander.

I have 2011 Rises. Bar pressure is light-ish, but not so light that you lose the sense of what the kite's doing if you're not looking at it. They also do a good job of eating gusts. Might be worth trying the 2012s.
