Hola to all, I am chuckling to myself, if the kite performes like a spinnaker we will have to buy some crocs for all the beach walking, if it performed the opposite to a spinnaker I would try it.

The Fat Lady is the shit when it comes to light wind! Fast and fun and grunty and really performes despite its 17 meters! All my other kites are Naish though, so I will try the Fly as soon as possible!

If the spinnaker idea is the new trend, wouldn't be cheaper and easier to use an Umbrella,
since everybody likes high wind anyway

The way the 2 strut kites work is that it changes shape a little to catch more or less wind. I've seen this clearly on my ride that the kite LE will bend a little when gusts hit the kite. It really helps with power / gust management. It is actually quite ingenious because the kite will sit still in the same spot ready for when the gust passes and have none of the back and forth movement. Same way as you would trim a spinnaker. One of the spots I ride is notoriously gusty and the kite passed that test with flying colors. Before you ask, no the Ride LE does not fold or anything like that.
The kite obviously goes upwind great.

I'd like to try it to compare to my EZE 13.. still the best light wind kite I've ridden. Main trouble with the EZE 13 is that it's too strong in anything gusting over 20 mph... pulls you right off your edge. We have enough 10-15 (mph not knots) days here that a good light wind kite is a good thing to have.
