Its a bit of a fake record really isn't it? its like how many teaspoons can you ballance on your nose.
The fast to cross is worthy. the oldest? nah thats juts making records for record sake.
50km crossing isn't that far. take on something more manly

Rubbish!
I think it's awesome that a 62 year can do a 50Km crossing
Well deserved record.
50Km is a long way to go on a kite and the channel gets pretty rough when there's enough wind to kite.

Where he started was across the road from my home, all the reports say Dymchurch but in fact it was St Mary's Bay. Not as many people round him as last time in 2010. I think he was on an 8 mtr, Aaron Hadlow launched his kite so it was good PR for sure but you have to give it to the man. On Saturday we were out at Camber for about 3 hours on 8 mtrs and in the evening I was wacked, so a guy whose 62 kiteing non stop for neary 4 hours, I say well done to him. It's a shame AH couldn't kite, he looked pig sick as they all sailed into the distance.

Well done, congrats!!!
I think I couldn't do it...a short 7 km downwinder already makes me tired!
But I can do 4 hrs of tricks! Funny!

It is very nice that a guy enjoys life so much! Wealth, inherited or - even better - earned, is a great help in enjoying life and it seems (not sure but seems like it) that this guy has grabbed his opportunity. In this sense he is a world record holder anyway. Not that kiting for hours in the open sea at 62 is a small thing!

We are glad too, look at his harness hook. It costs us a lot of money but it's worth to have a promoter like him
