Back on-topic: Perfect wind is steady 25 knots with no gusts, side-shore or very slightly side-off, in clean, well-spaced, double-overhead waves that peel perfectly down the line, with butter-smooth flat water in between the waves. Paradise. 8) :thumb:

Ofc I can really enjoy 20-25kts sessions, layed back and a bit of freestyle.

But I enjoy kiting from 9-10 knots as my quiver is 17-10-7.

Wow!! Dude, I'm on A 6m in anything over a solid 20knots! Even in boots, 30 knots is small kite weather. Even for fucktards like Starsky!
Only with increasing wind I push the high end of the kite just to boost hiigh. If it would've been 27+ knots from the beginning I would've grabbed the 7.

Saw the top of a kite that was on 12 o clock last session. It was SICK. (first time jumping 20m+/-)
I was on the 10m and when I came home I checked the windmeter and at the peak the wind was 30 gusting 36. It started at 20+/- so I got warmed up pretty well.

For Old School (using twintip): 25-30 knots with 9m kite or 30-35 knots with 7m kite
For wave (using directional) 24-29 knots with 7m wave kite or 28-35 knots with 5m kite

Depends how much caffeine I've had that day.

The wind strength is only one part of the equation, but to answer the question 20-25 knots. I am afraid I don't like kites bigger than 10m+ but I respect those that do.

Minimum of 22knots up to 32knots; anything in between is perfect on my 10M Screamer LTD.

Cheers
