You should do motivational seminars for war amputees.....
I actually Did that ! The motivational speeches.

The first one was in front of near 300 vets .
I was a bit nervous at first ; then i watched the faces in the crowd
as they looked at kite boarding shots of me along with all the other
stuff i do. I got a standing ovation complete with tears from the audience.

I started to go on the circuit in many city's, but thought how i would
handle "Talking" about living instead of actually "Living" !

It was like Fokiten in the topic :
Show us your office and view!

I've retired to the country...I have chickens now instead of Big city traffic .

The spot is now too far to drive to for the day...I'll be camping out when the time is right...
But the time for him was Never right so-far.

I would rather B Dead , than be Dead inside while talking about
living. It simply wasn't Me.

It's ironic that that first speech was in Pahrump Nv, same place
Fokiten went to Die inside.

You do know :
Fokiten does NOT kite board any longer ?
He lives vicariously through the adrenaline of other forum members.

I Should feel sorry for him but he's TO0oo much a Dick for me to be concerned.
Read his last reply, and it's like he's Bashing me for being Human.

There isn't one human alive that hasn't gotten excited and forgot something
of importance, be it their car-keys or like me, to forget the safety's on
my legs. But ask HIM why he got drug across the beach of 6-mile years
ago because he had a smoking device in his hand instead of his QR on
the kite-bar .

I have NEVER bin injured or physically hurt while kite boarding ; so far
i've managed to keep enough focus when it actually counted. I nearly
died a few times while flying, but gravity is WAY more unforgiving than
water.

you ought to see my spread now Billie with all the trees in leaf....

those mountains in the distance are heaven on earth when it's smoking hot with mosquitoes, baby diapers and toilet paper down at the spot.

life is good for me, and I don't feel dead inside...you would know though, right?

that's just it, you don't know, and consider that even Melissa sees you as inexplicably unconcerned about your own safety.......page two

what I wonder about is why you posted here if what you did was so unremarkable the kind of thing everybody has done one time or another...

so why did you do it?

thanks
fo

if you're not looking for help, what are you looking for here?

Meli: what does it mean?

Fo: leave Bille alone! Respect him!

Bille: don't get into a discussion with Fo, you don't need that. Do your thing and enjoy what you do. Nothing else matters!
And keep inspiring other handicapped people...you truly are an inspiration!

I was wondering too.....of the two orafaces , the lower one really looks like lips, although different,
at first blush they both seem very reasonably priced.

Got to be some kind of Tao thing, earth wind and fire maybe....?

and Toby...

what would you suggest to billie to help him remember to tie his shoes?

I still think the pool noodle retro is a must.....shit happens

how are you going to get there now? is the question though...willow beach is closed...

man I bet they have some huge trout in there now.....

we done here?
thanks

Won't be needing a shit load of gas.
Here is a nice picture of Willow beach.
Never was permanently closed, only temp for renovation .

More pictures here :
http://www.riverlakes.com/willow_beach_harbor.htm

But thanks for finding the law on the spear-fishing, (even the ranger i called at Katherines this morning
had trouble finding that one) ; Cottonwood is also an easy place to put my boat in.

With the new by-pass south of the dam, it will be easy to get to Willow beach ; and get this :
they don't charge for the launch-ramp.
AND
There is a Fish Hatchery right next to the marina !!! No wonder the fishing is good
up there like you say ; Large fish probably "Like" the little ones that get released.

Well --Fo-- now i got one More thing to do when the wind ain't blowing ;
because if we had not just had this disagreement, i wouldn't have known about this.

If you weren't such a fricken Dick, i would have invited you , ( but thanks anyway) !

no problem Billie ,

always happy to help....

if you need anything else you can always just post the request here on KF ...

I used to sail my sailboat from willow to the damn...against the current, you go until the forces balance then that's it...you're done...

word of caution the water at willow nearer the damn is near freezing....no kidding..be ready

also camp there, you can hear the rams butting heads all night...sounds like rifle fire...

rock on bro, on the dick scale you're right up there, not by piercing banter, but by the classless nature of your personal attacks...

real dull stuff.....and dull makes for some tedious company, so no worries on the invite....

enjoy
cheers
fo

And I'm WAY too wired to even Want to be around someone who is
too afraid to kite-board any longer , just because he got drug across a nice sandy beach.
You didn't even get that hurt did Ya ?

SO -- if your too scared to kite, then Why do you post on a forum that's filled with
adrenaline junkies ? Doesn't make much sense ?

I'm not afraid to post my mistakes ; i do it to show people that a mistake will lead to fear,
and the fear can be overcome. Then --instead of detracting from your learning curve, it can Add to
your concentration ; other people let fear over-come them ,(as it has done with you) and the result
is to quit what once made them happy. Only result a person can expect from retreating from
their fear, is to become cynical and resentful of others that don't mind facing it.

As soon as the sunburn on my back goes away from laying on the surfboard while Meli was looking
for my lost leg, i plan to go right back to the Lake and Kite Board with twice the passion i had
before the mishap occurred.

The few viewers that say : "Well I can do that" , make my embarrassment well worth the
time it took to write the topic because it could make them Better at what they do. It's something
a Quitter would Never understand , (Sorry for You ) .
