Postby andrewkiter » Sun Aug 19, 2012 9:26 pm

So a friend gave me his raceboard in 2 pieces broken from the nose to the tail but he said it was from a friend of his then he said cause the guy owed another guy some money and for payback... or revenge
well the point is could i fix it me by my own?

Take it to a shop that makes surfboards and see if they can fix it. It might be worth it. Not a do it yourself project, IMO.

All the information you could possibly want is here:

On the other hand, by your somewhat lacking :-) description I think you are a little in over your head, but that said always fun to give it a shot :-)

Like DaveSails said..pics.

mask everything - spray small amount of expanding foam in break. tightly clamp it together using wooden battens top and base that let it conform to the rocker curve (dont let it stick to foam), dry, sand foam flush and begin the toxic work- omg i can almost taste the epoxy i feel sick...

If you feel up to the investment in time, practice and tools to do like on boardlady's website, go for it. Or find somebody that builds/repairs composite sandwich surfboards etc.
