I'm looking for a light wind kite for days under 9 knots. I learned on Cabrinha, and have a 9m Convert and 13m Crossbow so naturally i want to add another one to my quiver.
I am looking for :
1. Someone who owns or has flown the 18m Crossbow
and
2. Has flown both the 16m and 18m Crossbow to compare.
Looking forward to hearing your reviews! Thanks!

You're specifically thinking about 2013 model? Cos they look higher AR that 2012 etc...

2012 or 2013. I can get a good deal on 2012 closeouts anyways right now and the 13s are so new I doubt many have ridden them yet.

True - but check the specs if you can cos the '13 XB looks much higher AR than '12 to me...

Hmmmm. Photos don't look correct. Haven't made a 12m XB in quite a few years. At the beginning of the 2012 model year, XB 13,16,18 all five strut and 7,9, 10,11 were all 7 strut. About march/April of 2012, the 5 strut 9 and 11 were introduced, and the 7 and 10 discontinued.
The design of the 5 strut 2012s and 2013s are the same.

I have tested the Xbow 16m 2012 a lot and I have a 2013 Xbow 18m in order. Unfortunately, I should only receive it in January. Send me an email in January if your purchase is not for the next few months : seb.waxdesign"at"gmail.com

I had a crossbow13m 2012 and the bar pressure was crazy. I can't imagine the pressure on the 18m.
I tried a Dyno 18m and the bar was lighter than my crossbow 13m lw.

Yeah, i thought there wasnt much difference between the 2012 and 2013s because they had switched to the 5 strut. I was also thinking about upgrading my 7 strut 13 to the new 5 strut 13 for the weight difference.
