Oh, Mr Chumpy... do you even kite?Pump me up wrote:No need to be so formal, please feel free to call me "Mr Pumpy".Kamikuza wrote:What does "perform" mean, Pump-a-chump?
We've already discussed the definition of "perform" previously, and open to suggestions, but a reasonable definition would be a kite being at least able to hold its ground (stay upwind) for a significant period of time (eg 20 mins), using standard equipment ( twin tips, directionals, surfboards, race boards).
Have you noticed? PMU's rants are alive and well, but for some reason, shifted object; wherever RAM AIR appeared, it has been replaced by EPIC INFINITY!Pump me up wrote:The video conclusively shows the Core 19m kite OUTPERFORMING the Epic V3 Infinity.
Clearly, the Epic Infinity doesn't get you going on a twin tip until well over ??? 12 knots.
.....
Ignore the lies. Ignore the propaganda.
No kite can perform under 7-8 knots, let alone 2-4 knots.

Supa DID NOT DO STANDARD RELAUNCH
You are inventing stuff...in your head
My reverse launch in 4-5kn was textbook perfect...too bad his V3 kite had "failure to launch"
My LE was down..my kite went up in reverse 10 feet...spun itself to LE up...effortless if you ask me
Maybe it has to do with Dimitri's poor eyesight at a distance of 20 meters and beyond..who knows
The video's intent was to demonstrate that side by side his kite was surely no better..actually worse
And in the video..you also see that D looks unusual, defeated, something he is not used to
He should have brought or used better LW toys to come play with me...he had a rough afternoon
That day was a big EVENT for D....for me there was no surprise...it was kiting in LW as usual

Are you saying boards designed for light wind make kite relaunch easier?Tone wrote:Ez,SupaEZ wrote: ...

Your test is flawed and your "result" is null and void.
....
One of you on a much better light wind board is not a valid test.

Are you suggesting that running backwards on a beach to relaunch a kite backwards is in anyway an accurate test as to how well it will work on the water?alexrider wrote:Are you saying boards designed for light wind make kite relaunch easier?Tone wrote:Ez,SupaEZ wrote: ...

SupaEZ was discussing the relaunch ability - a most important feature in LW - more than anything else.
In my book, LW boards make things easier AFTER relaunch.
