I see you using front hand to handle the board except when you do spins then you go to your back hand. Is there a reason behind this or it is just your preference. I use smaller kite and I always leave front hand on the bar otherwise shit tend to happen. What are the negatives of handling the board with back hand if any?
correct, no rotation: right hand (besides passing the board at some tricks)
rotation, left hand. few tricks with right though.
I started without rotation, so used the right hand. And sicne using the Microloop, my left hand can still steer the kite forward a bit while flying. Once the right hand is back on the bar I can pull it full power to have it in the right position for the landing.
Once I started with rotation, I did front rotations, since they get me higher.
And with rotating it is better to have the front hand on the bar, sicne I send the kite back, and then need to steer it forward, specially for the landings, so they are fluid and I get enough speed to land the trick.
Plus, my right arm (righthander) is stronger, so I can pull down the bar more during the jump.
Using the backhand for rotations (not in ML) will cause the kite to bee too far behind the zenith for a clean landing.
