How NOT to do a double backroll

Postby papand » Thu May 23, 2013 2:46 pm

Hey there..

So, here is how not to do a double backroll on 20 cm deep water. I passed out for 1-2 mins and my folks had to yell at me before i "woke up" and flaged out the kite.

Someone with experience if I'm wrong.
I believe that your kite was supposed to loop, therefore it would've given you lift.

Glad you're OK, how do your ribs feel? Mine didn't feel so good after I did that. Now I put both hands on one side of the bar, my ribs didn't enjoy the left hand right hand confusion.

looping the kite in 20 cm of water is not a good idea, but you probably know that by now. good thing you didnt really hurt yourself.

I do double, triple and sometimes quadoople backrolls and don't loop my kite.. I just do em like a regular boost. Sometimes if I do it wrong and don't redirect my kite hard enough my kite will stall and fall out of the sky but that's better than haulin ass and getting slammed by a kite loop! Deeper water always helps the head too...

After watching it again, you didn't loop your kite...you just got slammed!!

Man that was unlucky,

your kiting buddies suck though, anyone round here took a hit like that and was in the water for longer than a few seconds, someone would have checked you out.
