Stoke Thread :)

Postby BigPaul » Sun Jun 23, 2013 8:29 am

Hi Chaps

I thought I would start a stoke thread, as there are too many people trolling threads on brands or people they don't like. ruining the fun for the rest of us.

So please can we keep this thread brand free and just about what a great session you've had. Photo's are encouraged. :thumb:

I will start. Yesterday we had massive winds on the South East Coast of the UK. gusts up to 38knots in my local spot and an average of 28 knots. I pulled out my kite only to find a tear on the canopy! Gutted. I thought my session was over before it had begun. Then a guy I hardly know saw that I was upset about missing out and that my new kite had a tear. He just showed up with an old Rebel he had and said Here you are dude, jump on this. I had an awesome session. Well overpowerd with massive swell. constantly scared but smiling all the way.

This kind of easy friendship and seat of you pants surfing is what I think kitesurfing is all about.

Let's keep the stoke going and less of the anger

Regards

Paul

Had a few fantastic sessions today. Overhead waves. 8 meter kite and great board...broke off my fins doing a top turn...just back in add a new set and go again.

When the tide came up, a new spot opens up and off we go again. So worn out by the time afternoon came around. Super fun!!!

Winter finnally arrived! 3m swell, 20 to 30 knots on a mako 150 and a 2013 8m catalyst, just charging head high and a bit waves with a bunch of crew. Rain came in to the point where we couldn't see 3m in front, but we just kept laughing and riding the 30 plus gusts out.

Yeh man stoked.

Waves for all, all day, nobody dropping in,...hey.. what else can we hope for? ...more to come tomorrow

I sometimes forget winter and summer are completely reversed depending on which side of the planet we live on. I read your post Westozzy as it is 98 degrees outside here in the states and no wind. I have never wanted winter to arrive so quickly!
