My one-pump tubes are melting - any ideas for replacement?

Unless your soap is made of turpentine it can not dissolve a latex or silicon tube. Dish soap can not dissolve these things unless it has already been completely oxidized by the sun. The chemistry is impossible.

This happens to all my kites. I've had 6 Rebels that had this problem and I've never washed them with soap, in fact I dont remember the last time I washed a kite Its definitely from heat and UV. Sun and leaving the kite in a hot car. Stains the canopy when you roll it up also but easy to clean with alcohol.

If someone could post a link to the correct tubing on ebay or the "web" in general, I'd appreciate it.

To be honest and fair to North (God knows I have bashed them enough about valves, control bars and lines - look at my other posts).

The tubes in question are from my 2009 Rebel and the tubes are like new where I did not spray the soap. Trolls posting about heat and sunlight begone.

There are citrus type detergents out there. Since citrus/lemon is like acid, I can imagine that stuff can melt rubber.
Just my 2 Cents.

Here is an example of the Silicone tubing I have been using. Other posts on Ebay have the same stuff maybe at better prices. Look for the thinner wall (1mm wall thickness) tubing. Most valves (Slingshot, Ozone, North) use 6mm (1/4inch) ID tubing. I have been using silicone tubing for 20 years in various situations. It will not get gummy with heat.

Internal one pump ? Try Naish with their octopus system, thats pretty internal. Slick when its working, but hell when you have a problem.

I have also noticed that the 'wash' dish liquid we have here will affect the rubber tubing material.
