Do you have a trick you do every time as first trick when you start your session?
My first trick is an Upside Down Grabbed Front 360.
I do this trick to see how high I get, since fronts get my the highest, and it also looks cool.
Which is yours?

Along the lines (groan) of the previous poster.... Jumping up and down for joy when I realise I'm actually going to get a session in..... Those of you who live close to regularly kiteable warm water please take moment to smile and pat yourselves on the back....
Mine, toe-side transition...... (but I probably doesn't even constitute a trick for most)

Depends on the wind. Ideal is a booooooooost off a wave lip on the first tack out. As you say to test the wind. Just for you Toby i'll add a boned board grab.
Or slash onto a wave and a waveride in on the first peaking wave I hit.

Depends if there's waves and the wind directions good then a bottom turn. If no waves and onshore wind then either a small ollie or a straight air with grab.

For me it is a back 360. Tells me how much power I have. How much I have to send the kite. Then I run through my tricks one after another and see how far I get with my hair dry.

I must confess i warmup less than i should, so what i do to warm up is a few tacks with air transitions with rolls usually to start get a feeling and warm up, after a 3-4 tacks i usually start with a raley and then work on the trick i want to nail for a while. After this if im really close to the new trick i keep trying for a while, if i dont get it then i move on to the tricks i nail
