This is why I ask for wind strenght as oppose to kite size, we all have different taste in kite size, hoping to get at least 4 days overpower on the 12m.

Was suppose to go to Oman Masirah Island but cant anymore due to BS reasons from work. (25-35kts everyday almost garanteed over there.

Saw wind stats from Northern Germany / Holland, wind stats seem very impressive, will look into that as well.

Hi

Paros is my home spot so I can list a few tips

July is the month that usually Meltemi(North winds) blows in Paros and it lasts till end August

I m 78kg , riding a 135 twin tip and my quiver is 10m & 7m

You have the choice of Pounda beach (near Antparos crossing) for flat conditions or if you are in wave style Tsoukalia is a top choice.

Take care

C

The good thing about Paros is that if you don't have any wind is this particular island. Then take the ferry boat from "Parikia" which is the name of the port in Paros and go to Mykonos.
But the best month like Mr.chris1974 said is from end of June, July, August because of the "Meltemi".

P.S. I love Paros and I that is the reason why I have a house there.

Like said Chris 1974...in this period Paros is fantastic...perfect kite is 11 9 and 7..if you are a reestyler wake styler 9 and 7, freeride 10 or 8...wind is perfect...
How said my friend Dimitri that every year like me is there in Paros...this is a beautiful island, and when you'll go the first time you'll wann go every year...it's like to be at home...

Hi everyone, sorry about re bringing this post, still looking for an answer to my question.

Huge thanks Dimitri / Mdpalma / Chris 1974.

Unfortunately I am looking for information on wind strenght in Kts if possible.

Are we talking of 20 kts? 16 kts? 25 kts? 30 kts?

Someone sent me a link from Windguru, and look like I would need a 15m and 18m kite (16kts-24kts average). Is it possible that there is more wind at this kite spot than there is on the station windguru data is based on?

Reason I really need the wind strenght as oppose to your weight and kite size and/or this is a good spot or not is because quite often at home I am on a 12m kite and people 40 lbs heavier than me are on 10m. Saying they were overpowered??? When I wanted more power.

For some reason that difference of taste in kite size is getting worse in warmer temparature.
Ex: Mokulai (north shore ohahu), I am on 13m riding, pissed off that I didnt take my 15m. Other people are on 8m/10m .... Same with Cuba. 12m, no depower use on the strap, wanting more wind, other guys were on 8m 10m saying it was a strong windy day.

Any feedback on wind strenght would be extremely apreciated. (kmph/mph/kts).

Thanks again, Ian

(P.S curently on 8-9 months deployment on East Coast Africa, very limited and slow internet, cant research much other spots and need to take a decision very soon, oh yeah the wifi in the pport we go to is even slower, even if the hotel room cost $300 a night).

Tks again for any info on wind strenght.

Ive been on naxos at Mirkli Vigla, which is close to paros and has same wind and local geographic conditions I believe.
Been 3 years in a row, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 weeks. All in July. Wind 25-30 knots.
Most everyone on 7 or 9 kites 90% of the time.
Wing guru is not accurate due to local geographical condition that funnels wind between islands.
