I remember a guy who was talking to me on a beach about his kite loops and I remember thinking I didn't see anyone looping that day despite some good wind so watched for him later. Sure enough, he could barely get his fins out of the water in a jump.
Yeah - 'claiming' on the water after not getting near a clean execution would fit.

Please be sure to make the first 14 minutes of the video nothing but sponsor logos fading in, spinning out, and zig zagging across the screen with background trendy techno pop music so I can projectile vomit all over my computer screen.

….all very true and seen ALL the time in extreme sports videos. I love watching all kinds of extreme sports but have to admit they have all started blurring into one style.
I watched the film below last night. Admittedly it didn't leave me aching for more (and i'm not even sure it 'works') and maybe its a bit too avant grade for most but i have to admit i love they way they're just trying a different approach. Just trying something different earns my respect

That video is genius. Great photography, spot-on humor. I love the "essence of mountain biking", that is like in every action sport video:

Just do a remake of "How to make a Sick kiteboarding edit"
