Yes, I love my new bar! At 334g (0.73lbs) it’s pretty awesome.
And what makes the KISS chickenloop/depower, which I used, more awesome that I’ve been using this setup for about a year and I love how light, compact and reliable it is.

And, more importantly, you can rebuild most of bars with it.

I have put in 10 days on my new Kiss bar and can confirm that it is awesome👍👍👍. Do get the above the bar trim option.

Just a little tomtom.

5 stars for effort and 5 more for not being a chickenloop. I can already guess just looking at it it fails on the most basic levels of design....the release throw is extremely short and it has a lip, so accidental releases here we go. But hey you only need to redesign the entire thing to fix that. Next time a piece of paper, pencil and maybe think things out a little. Consulting alternative minds works great too.

The industry is fast dividing into 2 groups those that fund it though the purchase of every increasing complicated, expensive and yet inferior products it likes to call "bars" and those that don't.

When the sport is diminished and deader they will only have themselves to blame.

it looks like it has integrated trim - some some winder inside and top barrel looks like control. Maybe its good and precise for racers but for me it looks way to big.

There is a short video about this new SK Shapes safety system on their FB: https://www.facebook.com/SKshapes/video ... 133275782/

I also found some more info in the comments:
Weight: 112g
Size: 70mm
Features: 3 times smaller in length, 2.5 times ligther than regular safety systems and a integrated ball bearing swivel which spins also under havy load.
Available April 2020 for customers who preordered in March.
Price: 129€

Still sounds interesting to me.

Looks to be a giant sized Wichard type shackle. But with a ball bearing swivel and a collar that replaces the metal spring and string to activate the release.

IDK, I kinda disagree. The little clip provided shows its a pretty simple little rotating pin and collar release. Tried and true, just custom shaped for our purposes. 70mm total length is not bad. Nice swivel.

I would way rather that than the shackle pictured. I have one of those and the pull toward gait is just not as simple as a push away collar.

I hope they make some money on it.

Yea good luck laying on board with that aluminium hand grenade on stomach. Also bodydragging out will be fun. That big i genuinely expect some trim for frontlines integrated. There is place for winding at least 1m depower line.
