If you go back and look at my pic on page 34 you can see that I've got no appreciable wear on either ring or line after somewhere between 300-600 sessions. I don't keep track of days but it's been on there for several years.

Ive been following this thread with interest and have found most of the parts for a slider set up (cab mushroom, spreader etc).
Just looking for a swivel now and found the ones below for handgliding. Look plenty strong enough and cheap. any thoughts if theyre suitable?
Also, to keep the bar as close as possible, i plan to put the swivel above the above-the-bar depower cleat. Imagine itwoould work fine there? Any thoughts are welcome.
Cheers

Those would be crap for kiting. We use them on our paraglider brakes, but they still get all twisted up anyway.

If they were not expected to automatically untwist (which they obviously do not) then why would they be "crap for kiting"?

Because it's a Friday night in Britain and Tomorrow is Saturday so I feel it better you ask those questions on Sunday night so you're sober enough to understand the answers.

Thank you:)

I'm sober now and I'll be sober enough when the answers come. Or if they ever come, more likely.

Perhaps when you get it together enough to 1: Read the entire post I was responding to. And 2: Think for a bit about the location he mentioned. Then 3: Ask an intelligent question. I'll bother to spend more than 15 seconds on you.

I did read the entire post.
2: Think for a bit about the location he mentioned.
Yes, above the cleat which is (as posted elsewhere in this thread) reachable when the bar is brought very close.
3: Ask an intelligent question. I'll bother to spend more than 15 seconds on you.
Don't bother, from this and other posts you evidently believe that anything anybody else has/does is "crap" compared to what you have/do.

Gotcha, over and out. :-)
