My rope slider has a steel ring on it. I connect the rope QR to that ring. I had couple of funny moments reconnecting in water, it can be challenging.
Yes, I was wondering the about the exact same thing.
I am considering to bring an emergency easy connector setup (e.g. carabiner) so I can reset the safety without also needing to put it on the ring/rope at the same time.
Anyone any thoughts about that?
I recall only one time when I actually wanted to release and that was only once, on shore when incoming rider flew his kite over/outside of mine. Well, technically there was a second time back in 2012 when I couldn’t walk back on slippery surface and decided to release. I normally never release but slider rope brings challenges with passing a kite to/from someone and reconnecting QR if you released by accident, which happened to me.
But I love my sliding rope and KISS loop setup and saw nothing significantly better yet

Maybe I was not clear:
I am not suggesting to change the simple setup, just to bring an additional easier to connect setup stowed in a pocket.
Eg additional ring + carabiner. So you can reset the safety in the extra ring and then easily “click” that with the attached carabiner onto the original ring.
Sure you will have a longer setup until you are back to shore but I guess that’s better then a very hard to reconnect system.

That’s an Infexion knock-off. Everyone’s gotta make a living, but kinda seems like you stole Evan’s IP.

Well,
I also thought it is not allowed to post potentially commercial like test reports for some brands, but commercials for:
pirate copies are allowed?
Or is it a case that you recommend in different topics 3 different types of
all look like copies of Evan’s ingenious infexion seatbelt release?
Or are you marketing those as labelled products for him with his knowledge?
Then I take it all back and this post can be deleted again.

First of all i am not the guy making these releases. I just look for the best for personal use and are NOT sponsored by these brands or anything.
I agree its similar release system, but thats how it is in the industry. Cheers guys
